The circulation system enables active and remotely controlled dosing of remediation agents into the rock environment, resulting in more uniform distribution and, ultimately, reduces rebound of contaminant concentrations. It also shortens the time required to achieve target concentrations and reduces the total amount of agents needed. Online monitoring of key parameters and remote system control allows prompt response and increased efficiency of the remediation process. The system’s effectiveness was confirmed through successful application at a site contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons. The system was developed with support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the ALFA 4 program (project TA04021725) and is registered as Utility Model No. 29656.
