Site investigation of the former heavy engineering plant in Romania
ENACON has conducted subsurface investigation in the area of the former heavy engineering plant in Timisoara in Romania. The investigation was requested by TRW Automotive, the leading automotive parts manufacturer, in order to define the subsurface condition prior to extension of its existing plant and start of its own production program. Based on the results of the site investigation, ENACON recommended a limited remediation measures, namely excavation of contaminated soil and it off-site bioremediation.
Former Heavy Hearing Oil Storage in Bulgaria
Soil and groundwater investigation was completed in the area of above ground storage tanks for heavy heating oil formerly used for heating and steam generation at the pulp production plant in Svishtov in northern Bulgaria. Site Investigations relating to Integrated Permit (IPPC)
During 2012 through 2014, ENACON performed focused site investigations required under the IPPC legislation in association with termination of on-site activities at TRW in Horni Pocernice (steering wheels manufacturing) and Ingersoll Rand in Kolin (air conditioning and cooling units manufacturing), Czech Republic. Both investigations included a complex evaluation of the soil, soil gas and groundwater contamination serving as a basis for authorities to set up conditions for leaving the sites.
